very special hero…wanda?

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but the only time Wanda was ever teased–very significantly too!–was in direct relation to the future Infinity War event, and since they’re talking about Vision trying to bring a new hero to help with that specifically… and since almost all other characters specially linked to Vision (except Jim Hammond and Victor Mancha maybe) are already in the Academy…

That’s right, friends–it’s Avengers Academy in comic book form at last!!Well, in variant cover form at least. I had a blast painting this movie poster-sized monster (feat. 25-ish characters from the game!) as a variant for Mighty Captain Marvel No.2, shipping in late February.

For me, this is basically just a love letter to the world we created for the TinyCo mobile game, trying to capture the sense of fun and chaos that goes on there (I’m looking at you, DJ Vision!). And, I gotta say, I was inspired by all the insanely-good fan art I see here on Tumblr. Definitely wanted this cover to sit along-side all the great stuff you guys are making.
