Can you imagine how happy the whole fandom would be if they didn’t die in IW, we’ll all be talking about the future development of their relationship, getting married, having kids and stuff. We would be so excited and happy that they are finally together. God I miss them so much, I think about them everyday, then feel sad about it.

Wellll…. I feel like this is almost sacrilegious to say, but I actually wouldn’t have wanted them to leave off on a happy note in IW for Wanda and Vision. To me, it wouldn’t have fit the tone. It would have been hard for me to enjoy the fandom gossip about happy stuff like marriage and kids when basically the rest of MCU fandom is on fire.

Wanda’s ethnically Jewish-Romani (Romany/Roma?) through Magneto and Magda, her mom.

I did mention Magneto:

…of course Wanda’s not actually related to him anymore (or is she? We still don’t know who her dad that murdered Natalya was), but I prefer to ignore that.

Or do you mean Magda is also Jewish? She could be. It’s never been said outright, although the narrative leans more away from it, since the Sinti of Germany and at Auschwitz were predominately Catholic and
Magneto specifically dropped his Jewish heritage so he could fit among Magda’s people. That’s a longer story that has to do with meta reasons of trying to fix conflicting backstories for Magneto.

for some reason I thought Wanda was jewish and now I’m confused cuz she has some several very obviously christian / maybe catholic crosses in her room…

Comics Wanda is Jewish. I don’t know what the people responsible for this were thinking, do they know the character? I know comics Wanda is a bit of everything, but I wish they had used a bit more of it in the MCU.

oooh that’s where i got the idea from…

I know! I like Lizzie Olsen and I love her acting and all, but I was a bit surprised to know that comics Wanda’s actually half Romani or something, and the role went to a blonde haired white actress… no offense to white ppl or anything, but I mean… really..??

To clarify–comics Wanda is not religiously Jewish. She is religiously Wiccan or pagan, depending on the writer. We don’t know how the Maximoffs raised her, although there have been references to alternatively Jewish, Christian, or Muslim worship.

When people talk about Wanda being Jewish, they mean through Magneto.
