It’s quite possible! It’s gotta depend on how Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther end, because if that’s the case, one of them has to convey to the audience that the Avengers know Thanos is coming for real.
It’s definitely the case that he’s in disguise. My guess is he’s secretly meeting with Wanda, who is still on the run because of the Accords.
Of extra interesting note, Wanda is wearing clearly different clothes, implying these scenes take place over more than one day (like maybe he spent the night…).
Um guys??? They’re just rehearsing….. My mom got the schedule and the casting call and they’re filming on Friday…
If they are rehearsing, they are doing so in costume! You can see Bettany is wearing his muscle suit and Olsen her wig. We saw from pictures in the morning they arrived in different clothes. There’s also filming equipment on set, since you can see the boom right above their heads. So, even if this is not being filmed, it is very likely what the scene will look like.

But besides what I said earlier, Marvel is pretty good about at like-aged casting. The greatest difference for any Marvel couple is Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson at 17 years–but neither were cast with the plan of their characters being together later. Otherwise, there’s an average 3.8 year difference between the actors for Marvel couples, and in a few the actress is older than the actor.
Zoe Saldana (38) & Chris Pratt (37)
Gwyneth Paltrow (44) & RDJ (52)
Liv Tyler (39) & Ed Norton (47)
Linda Cardellini (41) & Jeremy Renner (46)
Hayley Atwell (35) & Chris Evans (35)
Emily VanCamp (30) & Chris Evans (35)
Natalie Portman (35) & Chris Hemsworth (33)
Rachel McAdams (38) & Benedict Cumberbatch (40)
So while I don’t think the argument should be dismissed out of hand, neither do I find it a compelling reason to reconsider whether Vision and Wanda should be in a relationship in Infinity War and beyond.
Every so often there’s a few days of arguments after someone shares that they really don’t like the idea of Vision and Scarlet Witch being in a relationship because of the age difference between the actors.
For the most part, when actor age differences becomes a point of contention, it’s about a specific issue: actors being much older than the actress who plays the love interest. This isn’t an unfair or misplaced observation: Hollywood gives their female stars a much shorter shelf life than their male stars. It is not uncommon to see a 40+ year old man play a romance with a young-20s woman. It is uncommon to see the reverse, or even like-aged actors when the male star is over 35.
This argument is a fair one, and I don’t think should be dismissed out of hand. My perspective, however, is through a pretty unique circumstance of casting, it’s not very applicable to this situation.
Paul Bettany was cast because he was the voice of JARVIS. Of course, had he looked like the Edwin Jarvis of the comics that wouldn’t have happened–but as it is, Bettany was cast through atypical means that also meant his personal age irrelevant. Almost all MCU couples are relatively like aged besides.
There’s also people who feel uncomfortable with the age difference in they feel the same way about age differences with real couples as with actors or their characters. A fair perspective, but on this front, Vision himself doesn’t really have a quantifiable age (he’s either 2 or older than the universe depending on the perspective), and the actors are, of course, acting.
