Vision, a fallen angel sets out to protect a human woman from a dark angel that’s haunting her. While Wanda is sceptical at first, they stat to care for one another more than they should. When Vision is killed protecting her, all hope seems lost, until…
Oh yeah that possessive/protectiveness is there. It’s another example of Wanda have some of the more traditionally masculine traits/tropes in their romance.
Also it just occurred to me that same inversion is present (however understated) with Proxima and Corvus. Corvus is the sneaky fighter who works in the shadows and uses subterfuge to get close; Proxima is the muscle that uses savagery to create his cover. Corvus is the one who ends up wounded and Proxima is the one who runs to comfort him.
A couple of days before her wedding, Wanda Maximoff receives notice that she’s the beneficiary of her Aunt Agatha’s estate, including a large, furnished house. Despite never having met her aunt, Wanda and her new husband, Vision, accept the house and settle into marital bliss. When they learn they are expecting twins, Wanda begins experiencing unsettling and unexplainable phenomena. Desperate to mollify her wild fears, Vision agrees to bring in a spiritualist to confirm the house is fine… except what is uncovered confirms Wanda’s worst nightmares. What seemed an idyllic life crumbles as they struggle to protect their unborn children from the demon Mephisto and the cult that worships him.
