why is wanda redhead?

Probably a disguise? Black Widow is blonde, Cap has a beard, Vision is…well. It’s not a great disguise, but it’s probably more for the audience, so we get the sense something’s not quite right, and so that when these characters are back to normal it feels more satisfying.

It might just be that they prefer red hair, and feels it emphasizes the “scarlet” part of her name. It happens occasionally in the comics, and CW Wanda has notably lighter hair than AoU Wanda.

We do have a little bit of indication that she will have brown hair again in A4, which I mentioned here.

So you know that gif of Cap, Nat, and Vision walking down a hallway in the Infinity War trailer? I’ve read that a lot of people think the person walking behind Steve is Captain Marvel, but I honestly think it’s Wanda. It zoomed in real close on the gif as it moved and to new it really looks like red hair—and based on other parts of the trailer, Wanda has red hair now. And it would make sense too that she’d be walking side by side with Vision since they’re a thing, y’know? If I loved someone and we were walking into battle, I’d want to be next to them as we approached.

I honestly don’t know what about long bright red hair and being in the company of Team Cap and Vision are making people think “oh yeah, Captain Marvel!”.

There’s really no debate about it–she’s clearly wearing the same outfit as we see in Edinburgh, down to the torn knees on the jeans. It’s not like a big secret or anything–the point of that shot was how badass Cap and Black Widow look.
