Is there is possibility that Vision is in the Mindstone? I just keep thinking about the line in Civil War when Vision says that maybe someday he will be able to truely control the stone and he was connected to the stone for such a long time that he could have become a part of it, right?

I do think it’s possible! I’m glad we had the same thought; that’s how we know narrative beats are legit. I talked about it here to some length too!

Oh wow that post about Paul being confirmed for the next movies really gave me false hope before you broke it down. And I agree completely that what he said in that interview doesn’t really say anything about his part in A4.

Awww, I’m sorry anon. I mean, we’re all hoping really hard he’s in it, so we’re leaping on the crumbs we can find. And IW has a lot of clickbait articles that are purposefully misleading hopeful fans about what happens in A4, which makes matters worse.

If it makes you feel better, this interview from Bettany has him outright stating he went back for filming in September–which was in Avengers 4 was being filmed. I actually forgot he was so direct about it. That could be reshoots for IW, or he could even by lying, but it’s pretty solid.

I think for both Lizzie and I, it’s the most exciting plotline for each
of us so far. I really loved making the first [Infinity War], we had a
ball doing it, and I’m going back in September to continue and it’s the
biggest production that I’ve been on…ever. It’s just huuuuuuuge.

I have a theory (that I concocted because I just saw infinity war and my soul is decimated and I really really want Vision and Wanda to have their happy ending) and maybe I could get some help on this? So we know there was a casting call for baby twins in avengers 4. Depending on the timeline between IW and 4, does this mean Wanda would have been/will be pregnant in either movie? Maybe just hopeful guessing but I mean maybe?

Ngl, I’ve been rubbing my hands over that idea muttering “my precious, my precious” since I saw that casting call, and now especially with IW ending. Okay, points in favor:

  1. There was a casting call for twins.
  2. There are somewhat credible rumors that a 16-year-old has been cast as Cassie Lang, specifically for Avengers 4. That’s 5-6 years older than the 10-year-old who played her in Ant-Man. Since Mar’Vell will be joining the MCU in Captain Marvel, and Hawkeye is going to have some solo adventures in Avengers 4 (Kate?) we may very well be primed for the Young Avengers.
  3. And if we are primed for them, this is pretty much their only chance to bring in Tommy and Billy with anything close to resembling their comic book heritage.

Counterpoints:

  1. The casting call was only for two days and went out very shortly before the role was needed and for a pretty small pay rate, and for young actors twins are often cast so that they can film around labor law constraints. This implies this is a very small role, which if Wanda’s got babies that’s going to be majorly important to her arc.
  2. The casting call was for 2-year-olds, not 5-year-olds. If we’re talking about a time skip, the years don’t add up.
  3. They could just bring in Wiccan and Speed with no connection to Wanda and/or Vision.

But those counterpoints are dependent on the idea the casting call was the only actors being cast for the twins. But realistically, they would had their casting director find suitable actors–I’ll point out we had no idea who the actress for young Gamora was until about a month before the movie, and that’s because she told us herself. So we wouldn’t realistically be clued into the Minimoffs until we got a trailer for them.

But–be careful what we wish for. The point in bringing Billy and Tommy in is so we can have Wiccan and Speed, and we can’t have them without the age up. Which means if we get the boys, then we’re going to lose the boys too. Poor Wanda…

I seriously don’t know how to recover from Vision’s deaths and ScarletVision and Avengers IW in general. I mean, his last words and scenes haunted me despite knowing that he’s just a fictional character. I’ve seen a lot of his developments in IW and I was blown away but his ending was so horrible. I need more than a hug :((

It’s okay, IW’s ending was just one of the timelines Strange saw. In the real timeline, Wanda said yes to staying with Vision and they decided to travel the world! The Northern Cascades were their first stop.

They can spend awhile there, since Vision only carries provisions for Wanda. Wanda likes the mountains–they remind her of Sokovia. Vision likes that it’s mostly wilderness, so he doesn’t have to worry as much about staying in disguise. Wanda has perfected a low-level telekinetic field that acts as a mosquito repellent. Vision, on the other hand, gets excited when a bug lands on him. He is particularly fond of northern bluets.

I really hope Vision comes back. I mean the movie really goes to some dark places but at the end it’s still a Marvel/Disney movie. Would they be really that cruel to Wanda? Plus they went to all that effort to sell their relationship but it ends in tragedy? I don’t know. I hope not. Their comic relationship is sad enough.

I mean, I don’t think it gets much more dark in a Marvel/Disney movie that having our hero kill the man she loves only to watch him get resurrected and have half his head ripped out and then for her to die too.

We saw him die, twice. Both deaths were very drawn out, and in fact the most drawn out in a movie filled to the brim with deaths. Even some of the more standalone ones, like Loki and Gamora’s were not treated the same way. And then to get the imagine of the Stone ripped out, and his lifeless body falling to the ground? That’s really selling the death.

And then there’s the fact there seemed to be somewhat of a divide between characters who got a decent amount of screentime, lines, relationship developments, and characters who did not. And, notably, most of the characters who did not are the characters who got dusted. Implying, to me, they’re going to shine in A4. But Vision, especially compared to Wanda, had some pretty substantial moments.

Honestly, at this point, I’m guessing Vision stays dead, and Wanda gets a substantial role in the next film. But we’ll see.

Is Wanda’s plot going to be all around Vision? Did not she have a brother who died? Why MCU forgot her brother ??

I talked about that a bit here, too.

I assume it’s also going to about her realizing her powers and what that means for her as a person. That’s what the Russos have said her journey is about. So far her footage frames her in a protective role, she has a plenty good reason to develop and expand her powers.

As far as Pietro–that story wrapped up with Ultron. His death was the final piece of Wanda’s narrative redemption. Besides Marvel Studios not wanting to deal with two Quicksilvers, Wanda’s character and relationships would be difficult to develop if he were still alive. Wanda had only 10 minutes of screentime (including non-speaking) in CW–a sizable chunk of that would have gone with Pietro, and that’s not the story they wanted to tell.

This is true of the comics too. To my recollection, Wanda and Pietro haven’t been on an ongoing together since a little after their Kooky Quartet days. They’ve had story arcs together, but not as ongoing teammates.

And as far as an in-universe reason goes:

  1. By Infinity War it’s been 3-4 years.
  2. People won’t talk about their dead loved ones to others who didn’t know them, and the Avengers didn’t really.
  3. Again, Wanda doesn’t have that much screentime. Not a lot of space for her to bring up her dead brother.

Pietro may end up featuring in Wanda’s story in some capacity. But it wouldn’t be surprising to me at all if he won’t, and it would be a screenwriting mistake to bring him up beyond a short, meaningful mention unless they plan on it.

So you don’t know when is the time to start avoiding the internet? I’m so afraid of catching a spoiler

If you want to be very safe, once you start seeing numbered TV Spots, it’s time to go. If you’ve been combing all of the promo material like some of us have, then you might accidentally start putting stuff together that wasn’t meant to be directly spoiled. However, if you do feel like you were unintentionally spoiled, don’t worry! It’s easy to jump to conclusions when you’ve only got part of the puzzle. Before Civil War, I assumed this shot:

correlated with this scene:

because we hadn’t any hint of Vision’s mistake in any of the promo and I figured they were probably going to keep (Jonas) Vision’s big moment from Civil War.

So, even if it seems like you find something out, there’s still a lot of misdirection and misinterpretation going on, and you might be less spoiled than you think.
