Hello and welcome to the Scarlet Vision Exchange 2018!
What is a Scarlet Vision Exchange, you ask? It’s a fanwork exchange event, similar to a Secret Santa, where participants are matched up to create fanwork for each other based on our favorite witch and sythezoid! Here’s how it works: you, Person A, will be assigned to make a Scarlet Vision-themed fanwork for Person B and in return, Person C will make Scarlet Vision-themed fanwork for you, and so on.
Who gets paired up with who will be based entirely on what you write in your sign up sheet.
Sounds like something you might want to take part in? Awesome! Then…
You need to fill out the sign up sheet before 11:59PM PDT on July31st. Later submissions will not be accepted.
In addition to filling out the sign up sheet, you must reblog this post.
This exchange is supposed to be a surprise, meaning once you get paired up with your “giftee” you cannot contact them or in any way hint who you’re making a gift for! If you have a question for your “giftee”, send @anonthenullifier a private message on Tumblr or email us at thescarletvisionnetwork@email.com and we will forward your question to them and get back to you.
You must complete your fanwork before 11:59PM PDT on September 10th (no extensions)!
You can’t post your gift anywhere (including third party sites) until the week of September 18th. Once we reach September 18th, you can post your gift on the appropriate day between September 18th-September 21st (see the detailed schedule for more information)
Once published, your post must contain #scarletvisionexchange2018 and #sve2018 in the first 5 tags. All posts created for the event will be reblogged to The Scarlet Vision Network.
Be respectful (hate and bullying of any kind will not be tolerated)!
I don’t usually get involved in these kinds of things but something is really starting to irritate me. Where are all of these hate blogs coming from?
I get that some people don’t like Vision, don’t like Wanda or don’t like both, and that’s fine, I’m not saying you’re not allowed to have your own opinion, but what I don’t get is when people hate them so much, they then feel the need to make an actual blog about that haterid to post things that are full of hate.
And what happens then is their tags, the #ant*sc*rl*tv*s*on or whatever their using, show up in the #scarletvision tags. Now I’m not claiming these tags only for certain people’s use, that’s not right, what I’m saying is, it does bother me when I see posts about vision being called a useless toaster or saying that Wanda should have been left on the RAFT when I’ve gone to a tag to look for nice, positive posts about my OTP. And yeah, they are my OTP, even if some people apparently see them as “toxic” or whatever, but that’s a discussion for another day. They seem to overlook the fact that, yes, they can have their opinion, but in turn, so can we.
Look, what I’m saying is, of course you’re allowed to not like something, even hate something, but I don’t know why some people then feel the need to make an actual blog about it so they can spread their hate when this world is already filled with enough of it. If you don’t like something, that’s fine, but keep it to yourself. What’s the saying, “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” I don’t want to call anyone out in particular cause I’m not looking to start any fights, I just wanted to voice my opinion because it is something that bugs me, and if they can do it, then so can I.
Canon ships especially attract this kind of stuff, because it can’t be avoided either in the main body of work, or in the fact you’ll never see your own ship with one of the two. A lot of the time anti blogs are really ‘how much I hate that my own ship will never be canon’ blogs. Attracting nearly unhinged hate blogs is a sign your ship made it! Just remember to block them when you see them.
Looking at Lizzie and Paul holding hands and being cute together (and so proud of themselves for breaking our hearts and making us cry with their performance in IW lmao)
